Archers, swordsman, pirates and privateers will invade downtown Kennesaw this weekend to give you an exciting look back at the weaponry, military and home life through the ages including displays of cannons, military vehicles, chuck wagons, tools smiths, and doll makers. Over 100 military and living history interpreters will fill the Depot in downtown Kennesaw and overflow into the surrounding fields to demonstrate the realities of life from Roman times, to the Tudor dynasty, and right up to World War II.
Sponsored by the Southern Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate, this is a “living military and home life timeline” that is a great learning experience for kids while offering everyone an interactive historical experience as the interpreters relive history.
The historical invasion is this Saturday, May 14, 10 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday, May 15, 12 noon to 4 PM at the Depot in downtown Kennesaw. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children (ages 4 – 12), and children under three are free.
