The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History is giving free camp admission for the first 12 children who register between June 29 and July 7 for the museum's summer camp later this month.
"Working on the Railroad" summer camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on July 16-20. The camp is open to children between the ages of 5 and 8.
Campers may attend the entire week or can pick any day to attend.
Campers will enjoy learning about the various jobs of workers on the railroad through games, role-play, tours and hands-on materials and participation.
Space is limited for this week-long program. Registration is required.
