Southern Museum Sees Record-Setting Day for Fifth Annual Trains, Trains, Trains
More than 2,600 people turned out Saturday for the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History’s fifth annual Trains, Trains, Trains.
The event set a new single-day record for attendance for the Museum.
As part of the action-packed afternoon, visitors explored model train layouts, vendors selling train-themed wares and various activities geared toward families. Guests also interacted with several of the layouts set up specially for the day.
“We’re grateful to everyone who attended, and we hope everyone had as much fun today as we did,” said Richard Banz, the Museum’s executive director. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the Museum at future events and throughout the year.”
