Polar Express Adventure Returns December 10, 2016!
Immerse yourself in the classic story re-told throughout the museum, with vignettes highlighting the plot and interactive performers bringing the story to life!
Visit the Conductor and start your adventure alongside the historic General locomotive, all decked out for the holiday season! Elves will re-create Santa’s Workshop and the Museum will be transformed into a winter wonderland. An annual favorite, the North Georgia Tinplate Trackers will bring their winter-themed, interactive model train layout.
Experience the high point of the story and the highlight of the event with a theatrical performance by the British Academy of Performing Arts dancers and performers that culminates in a visit from the big guy himself…Santa Claus! The BAPA performances will take place every 30 minutes. There will be readings of The Polar Express book between performances and The Polar Express movie showings in the theater at 3:00 and 5:00pm.
Get into the spirit of the movie - everyone is welcome to attend in their fuzziest PJs, just like in the story! We will have a candy cane take-home craft to make, a letter-writing station for letters to Santa, and an event passport to collect stamps at each stop in the North Pole - lots of fun throughout the Museum!
Be sure to visit the Museum Gift Shop for special merchandise only available during the holiday season! Regular admission tickets purchased at the event are $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors (60+), $5.50 for children (4-12), and FREE for children 3 and under. This event is FREE for Museum members. Call 770-427-2117 ext. 3058 for more information.
Event tickets are available at the ticket booth on the day of the event!
