An integral part of the Kennesaw community, the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History is supported through the efforts of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation.
Established in 1998 by the state of Georgia, the Foundation has grown to a donor base of nearly 1,000 individuals, private foundations and companies. Membership is open to all those who want to support the Southern Museum.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation to provide philanthropic and programmatic support to the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History. Founded in 1998, the Kennesaw Museum Foundation identifies the priorities, direction and goals in defining the Museum’s image and objectives.
Led by executive director Richard Banz along with president Paul Chastain of Chastain & Association, Kennesaw Museum Foundation membership is open to all who would like to support the Southern Museum and its activities in and around the community.
Fundraisers
The Kennesaw Museum Foundation holds three annual events to raise funds for the educational programming at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.
