September 27, 2005

KENNESAW, GA – Cobb leaders and history enthusiasts will raise money for a new education center at the Kennesaw Museum Foundation’s annual Heroes & Legends benefit on Saturday, October 15 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Sponsored by Cobb Energy, the event will begin with blackjack and roulette at 6:30 pm, followed by a gourmet meal and a live auction.

“It’s going to be a festive night! Paul Crawley from 11 Alive happens to be a history buff and will be emceeing the event,” said Debbie Underkoffler, chairman of the annual gala committee.

Some of the luxury items to bid on include vacations, airline tickets, golf getaways, cruises, resort packages, and electronics. The proceeds will benefit the Kennesaw Museum Foundation, which is raising money this year for a new education building at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw.  Tickets are $115 per person or $1150 for a table of 10 for this black-tie-optional event.
