* African-American History MonthAfrican-American History Month

Homeschool Day is held on the first Monday of each month from 10 AM – 2 PM Homeschool students of all ages can now explore the Southern Museum’s exhibits for a special rate. On any given month, attendees may participate in guide tours through the galleries, hands-on activities and take-home craft projects. All parent educators will receive a take-home packet to enhance the day’s lesson. Special admission rates: per person, program is recommended for elementary school-aged children. Reservations are required, one week prior to the Homeschool Day, starting January 2012.

* The Mad Tea PartyThe Mad Tea Party

The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History in Kennesaw will host its first Mad Tea Party Saturday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear their wackiest wardrobe and come prepared for a silly ole time. Advanced reservations are required – per couple for Museum members and per couple for non-members; for each additional guest. Space is limited so participants are encouraged to RSVP by Feb. 11.
