* Sensory Friendly AfternoonSensory Friendly Afternoon

Time: 2:00 pm

Join us on the last Tuesday of each month for a Sensory Friendly Afternoon! From 2:00 pm- 5:00 pm, the museum will be transformed into a sensory-friendly environment. We welcome visitors with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing issues, or special needs to explore the Museum at their own pace. Sensory Friendly Afternoons include modified sound effects and volume adjustments inside the museum. A designated Quiet Room will be available for those needing additional support. * Great Locomotive Race 5KGreat Locomotive Race 5K

Time: 7:30 am

The Kennesaw Grand Prix 5k Series is composed of six, 5k races between May and October. Each race is held in downtown Kennesaw and combined draw thousands of runners and walkers. Runners/Walkers that participate in 4 or more races are eligible to receive a specially designed hooded pullover. The pullover is made of premium soft French terry, is imprinted with the Kennesaw Grand Prix logo and will help you stay warm and comfortable. The Great Locomotive 5K Race is Benefiting the Educational Programs at the Southern Museum in Kennesaw.
